Sillage

SILLAGE is like a long-exposure photograph. What is a dot to the human eye becomes a line in the lens. The light takes on a physical presence, materializing and fixing itself. The composition begins with oud, not as an image, but rather as an afterimage. Agarwood usually occupies the entire space, lending a dark note to the fragrance—in SILLAGE, oud is a bright band around which the other ingredients are arranged. Imagine a landscape of open space and rugged hills that border the horizon, their clear parallel lines cutting the image into two equal parts. We blurred these contours with gentle notes of saffron and violet, like delicate movements, barely perceptible vibrations that blur the contours. SILLAGE is a fragrance that teeters on the edge of sensation. Its individual elements are fluid, blurred. It leads us from the dry roughness of resins to the warm embrace of musk and vanilla, discreetly and quietly. But instead of "I was here," it clearly says "I am here"—like the aftertaste on the tongue, the imprint of the body on the bedclothes, the feeling left behind by a touch.
